The main application of sports photography is for editorial purposes; dedicated sports photographers usually work for newspapers, major wire agencies or dedicated sports magazines. However, sports photography is also used for advertising purposes both to build a brand and as well as to promote a sport in a way that cannot be accomplished by editorial means.

Cut Outs

What is a Cut Out?

A Cut Out is where a subject of a photo is taken from it original photograph and place on a different background.

A Cut Out can be found in Magazines, Newspaper, and Articles.

How to make a cut out in Photoshop -

I. Open your photo in Photoshop.
II. Add a layer mask to the picture.
III. Use the Paintbrush tool to erase the Original Background.

-New Document in InDesign
-Put four quotes with four different Head Shots
  1. Regular Picture, Cropped, with Background.
  2. Cut out with white background.
  3. Cut out on white background with box.
